If Word keeps shutting down then the normal.dot template is corrupted.
1) Go into xx:/template and delete normal.dot.
2) Now restart Word and save the fresh template in xx:/template. That's it.

How to disable chat on facebook?
Click on the little man with the green dot (next to the "online friends" and notification boxes) at the bottom right corner of your browser.
In the middle of the pop up box, you will see the option to "Go Offline", click on it.
If you click this option, you will still be on facebook like normal, but your friends won't be able to see that you're on.

This thing has been bothering me despite having reinstalled Windows XP (with SP3). Here are some solutions from the internet:
Using the "Advanced>performance/settings>Data Execution Prevention" within system properties, click "Turn on DEP for all programs and services execpt those I select" then with the add button navigate find explorer.exe and add it, then test to see if you still get the error, [Source]
This did NOT fix the problem.
I think Carbonite is causing problems after re-installation. It wants to keep restoring stuff when all I want it to do is to backup. I'm going to uninstall it.
